Machine operator

Position Title: Machine operator
Department: Cannabis Cultivation
Location: Delta, BC

Purpose/Objective: To safely and efficiently operate all machinery and ensure smooth operation of production and operations.

Key Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Set up, maintain and operate machinery
• Control and adjust machine settings
• Perform periodic check on machinery and communicate defects
• Maintain machinery activity logs
• Work with others in order to ensure proper working order of machinery
• Oversee and ensure timely completion of all tasks
• Safeguard smooth operations and communicate issues
• Complete compliance records
• Lead by example in supporting the team
• Perform other duties as assigned

Machinery list includes, but is not limited to:

• Forklift
• Floor scrubber
• Spacing machine
• UV-C machine
• Transplanting line
• Roof washing machine
• Pressure washer
• Scissor lift 

Compliance:

• Support and adhere to all worksite safety, food safety, hygiene protocols and compliance standards

Skills/Knowledge:

• Proven experience as a machine operator
• Mechanical knowledge of machinery (asset)
• Familiar with greenhouse work (asset)
• Basic computer skills (asset)

Language Skills:

• Fluent in English, both written and spoken

Licenses:

• Hold a valid Class 5 driver license

Working Environment:

• Hot and humid environment
• Repetitive work
• Standing for extended periods of time
• 40-60 hours per week, Monday – Saturday
